There is a misconception that a link to your website at a directory has no value for your website. For this reason links from directories are neither sought nor favored.
This misunderstanding needs abandoning. Links at directories that are well recognised by Google are as good as links at non-directory websites.
Just as you seek links from well-structured, themed and pageranked web sites, you should aim at linking to pageranked themed directory pages too. It is important that your link is on a page that is related to theme of your web site. IMPORTANT: Avoid FFAs
